Among these charming retreats is the Humdinger, ideal for families and fully handicap accessible. Step inside to find an inviting living area that seamlessly blends with functional kitchen spaces, fully stocked, and equipped with modern appliances.
The warm wood finishes and carefully curated decor create a vibe that’s both homey and chic. A comfy futon, wall-mounted TV, and queen bed provide ample space for relaxation.
The loft area offers additional bedding, with a queen and single bed under a sloped ceiling with recessed lighting, making this tiny home feel open and exceptionally comfortable.

Indulge in Luxurious Comfort at The Humdinger
Despite their compact size, these homes boast full bathrooms with showers and comfortable sleeping quarters—perfect for couples or solo travelers looking to unwind after a day of adventure. Inside the Humdinger, experience a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower featuring a rejuvenating rainfall showerhead and wand, with ample space for everyone’s toiletries.
Venture through the rear glass hallway door to find a woodland oasis—a covered patio perfect for lounging, ample seating, and a hammock for ultimate relaxation.
The Shindig: A Pet-Friendly Option
Our daughter and granddog stayed in the Shindig, the blue model at the top of the page. This is the quintessential tiny home property. It was just the right size and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay within close range.
The furnishings ranged from a great futon that converts to a full-sized bed and high table with two chairs to a flat-screen TV, queen bed, and kitchenette.
The stairs were a bit steep, so this option may not work for anyone with climbing limitations or who is not in pretty good shape.
Stay Connected and Cozy
Longleaf Piney Resort combines comfort and convenience to make your stay truly unforgettable. Each tiny house features TVs but no cable or Wi-Fi, as the camping experience is on the front burner. That being said, none of my family had any issues using our phones or our hotspot for streaming.
Climate control systems guarantee comfort regardless of Mississippi’s weather. Each house also has a private campfire area with a metal fire pit, cooking grate, and water hose for easy fire management.
Unforgettable Nights Under the Stars
As night falls, Longleaf Piney Resort comes alive with multicolored string lights, creating an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complements the woodland setting. Gather around the communal firepit, challenge friends to a game of corn hole or bocce ball, or explore the grounds on rented e-bikes ($25 1/2 day) and golf carts (Yamaha Quietech $75 daily).
The owner has meticulously planned every detail, so aside from your personal necessities, everything is ready for you.

The communal fire pits invite guests to connect, ideal for making new friends while roasting marshmallows under the stars. Nearby hiking trails are easily accessible, so you can wander through whispering pines or embark on bird-watching adventures.
Our most treasured moment was teaching our granddaughter to ride a bike without training wheels.
